Christ & St. Luke’s, Norfolk’s Landmark Church

The story of Christ & St. Luke's Episcopal Church parallels the story of the early days of our nation, through the tumultuous times of the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, through good times and bad.  The history goes back to the first church in South Hampton Roads, founded in 1637.

For those people who traveled to the shore of Virginia in 1607, the church was a mainstay and a comfort in their lives.  Today, over 400 years later, the church, with its magnificent edifice, continues to be a beacon of comfort in times of trouble, and a place to give thanks to God for all the blessings we enjoy.
